Best book, specially for newbies
This is a really great book. I don't know, how could anyone rate this book with a single star. It tells you about everything you need to know. I am a programmer (C/C++/Assembly), and I wanted to create a nice site to advertise my programs. This book is a must BUY. I also love the fact, that it is very thin, and that the chapters can really be completed in ten or twenty minutes. This book is definitely a must buy for the novice. . . It gets you on the right track, afterwards, getting practical tips is as easy as browser the web and viewing the HTML SOURCE of all coool things you find on the web. BUY THIS BOOK if you want to learn HTML. Great Great Book. . . - Zeeshan Zia
not for the novice
But it's probably not possible to learn how to create a satisfactory web page from this book, contray to the book's premise. Que provides a reasonably concise outline of HTML programming in a logical and readble format. And even the experienced user will not read this book in 10 minutes, for goodness sake!If you are experienced with earlier versions of HTML and need a quick outline of version 4, this book probably is insufficient -- it simply lacks the detail I would guess you will need. If you are a novice, don't even pick up this one -- get Sams Teach Yourself HTML 4 in 24 hours.
The book is not as great as the others say
It tells you that you can do stuff but it does not say how to. HTML 4 in Ten Minutes is about the worst book that i have ever read. Also its examples are not good. If you type them out on a Notepad or some HTML editor, they do not work as the book says they will. There are other books. This book is at most worth $6 and $12 is not worth it.
