Learn By Doing
The best way to learn is by doing. I learned how to write HTML with the original edition of this text. If you go through this text page by page you will become an excellent HTML author. I'm surprised that programmed texts are not used more often to teach various aspects of computer science. Be persistent! You'll learn well.
